PEP Increases Oil Production from Sukowati and Sangasanga Fields

Summary

Pertamina EP (PEP) succeeded in increasing production and finding new reserves at the beginning of the second half of this year. The subsidiary of PT Pertamina has hoisted oil and gas production through a well intervention program at the SKW-21 well in (Asset 4) Sukowati Field and drilling of the new SBJ-343 well in (Asset 5) Sangasanga Field. Besides, PEP obtained new reserves from exploration activities at Akasia Prima (AKP)-001 well in Indramayu Regency, West Java, and Wolai (WOL)-002 in Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi.

The well intervention program at SKW-21 Sukowati Field produced an additional 2,200 barrels of oil per day (BOPD). "Until July 21, 2020, the total production of these wells reached 9,821 BOPD, exceeding the daily target set for Sukowati Field," PEP Director Eko Agus Sardjono said in a press release on Thursday (7/30). From the drilling of the SBJ-343 well in Sangasanga Field, which was spudded in on June 17, it got an additional production of 381 BOPD. As a result, the oil and gas field production became 5,672 BOPD and 2,612 MMSCFD gas, while from the new addition of Sukowati Field and Sangasanga Field, PEP oil production increased by 2,581 BOPD.
