Completed the Drilling Phase, JTB Project Stays on Course?

Summary

In the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC) completed the drilling stage in Jambaran East Well Pad, conducted from April 6 to May 25, 2020. It consisted of the installation of the tubing and all of its accessories, such as the X-Mass Tree, capable of regulating gas flow during the production. JAM-3, JAM-4ST, JAM-5ST, and JAM-8 are among the wells ready for the perforation stage in Jambaran East Well Pad.

PEPC’s president director, Jamsaton Nababan, said that the completion was a crucial stage of the Gas Development Project in Jambaran-Tiung Biru (JTB) Field since the wells had entered the final phase of the project right before starting the gas production. “We hope that the follow-up operation can run safely, smoothly, and in line with our commitment to safety standards, so the field can be on-stream by 2021,” he stated in a written statement on Sunday (5/31). Later, PEPC will carry out the perforation phase in a rigless operation.
