The government will soon loosen the restriction on people's mobility, including operating permits in the tourism sector to revive the economic sector paralyzed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Wishnutama Kusubandio said the tourism industry could implement health protocols to welcome the 'New Normal' situation.

According to him, the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry is coordinating with relevant stakeholders to prepare protocols for the tourism industry. "Health and safety protocols must be a major concern for tourists," he said. Wishnu also believes that the tourism sector can recover faster than previously estimated, which is five years to return to normal conditions. Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) and closure of tourist areas provide an opportunity to restructure the business sector, which is the contributor to foreign exchange.
