Behind the Rumors of Sri Mulyani's Resignation
Startling rumors hit Sri Mulyani Indrawati. She was rumored to resign from her position as Finance Minister. The gossip started from tweets and posts on social media, which claimed to hear information that a minister had resigned. The allusion, which was also produced by social media, referred to Sri as the minister.
However, the rumor was denied by the Finance Ministry. On March 10, Sri Mulyani was still seen doing her job as usual. In the morning, she reported the Annual Tax Return (SPT) to the office of the Directorate General of Taxation, along with other Finance Ministry's officials. After that, at the same location, she held a meeting with the State-Owned Enterprises Minister Erick Thohir, Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo, Chairman of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Wimboh Santoso, and Chairman of the Indonesian Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) Halim Alamsyah.
