National Strategic Project Misses Target

Summary

Several national strategic projects (PSN) missed execution targets on the back of various hampering issues. Some 12 PSNs should have been completed by 2019 but were postponed to 2020, according to the Priority Infrastructure Provision Acceleration Committee (KPPIP) Chairman, Wahyu Utomo.

Wahyu said the five PSNs were postponed in the first quarter of 2020 from their initial completion target in late 2019. Those projects are Pandaan-Malang toll road, Maloy Special Economic Zone (SEZ), fuel storage tank, Umbulan Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM), and Wilmar Industrial Area in Serang. Seven others retreated to the end of 2020 or early 2021, including Tebing Tinggi-Kuala Tanjung railroad to support the Sei Mangkei SEZ, Makassar New Port, Bandar Lampung SPAM, Passeloreng Dam, Ketapang Industrial Zone, Ketapang Industrial Area, and Konawe Industrial Estate.
