GoPay Expands to School, What Comes Next?

Summary

The Education and Culture Ministry allows electronic payment system providers to support educational activities. Later, the payment of school fees, extracurricular fees, tuition fees, and other education-related payments can be made through mobile apps.

Gopay, a subsidiary of Gojek, became a pioneer after opening the GoBills app for education fee payment. There are 180 registered educational institutions in the list of GoBills partners, ranging from private-public schools, Islamic schools, courses, and universities. Education Ministry's Acting Head of Communication and Services Bureau Ade Erlangga said all payment system providers have opportunities to work closely with the government and educational institutions.
