A Bloody Battle Between Two In-Laws
Zulkifli Hasan was re-elected as Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) for the 2020-2025 period at the 5th PAN Congress held in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi, on Tuesday (11/2). The re-election of Zulhas, as he is usually called, is historical. The reason is since PAN was founded, this is the first time a figure has led a party for two terms.
Zulhas won 331 votes or 58.9 percent of the total 562 valid ballots, defeating Mulfachri Harahap, who received 225 votes (40 percent), and Dradjad Wibowo who received only six votes. PAN senior politician Asman Abnur, who previously ran as a candidate, resigned ahead of the election process.
