Various Innovations to Boost Indonesian Rubber Industry
The Indonesian rubber industry has been slowing down for quite some time, caused by the drop in price and production level. Statistics Indonesia recorded that the exports of natural and processed rubber products only reached US$ 6.23 billion in 2019, down 5.60 percent from the number in 2018 at US$ 6.38 billion.
As a result, the chairman of the Indonesian rubber council (Dekarindo), Azis Pane, asked for the government’s help to push the rubber consumption. He argued that the government could encourage the usage of rubber in the development of the new capital. Rubber can become an earthquake-resistant coating on building or road.
