Behind the Election of Former Ministers to Lead SOEs

Former Minister of Communication and Information Rudiantara will be the Managing Director of the National Electricity Company (PLN). Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung revealed, the Final Assessment Team (TPA) held a meeting on Monday (11/25) to determine the leader of the country's electricity company.

The TPA meeting was chaired by President Joko Widodo as chairman, Pramono as secretary, State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) Minister Erick Thohir, and a number of other relevant ministers. As a result, Rudiantara was elected. "All that remains is to be appointed by the Minister of SOEs," Pramono said.

Reportedly, several other former ministers will also follow Rudiantara to join SOEs management.
