Customs Office Unveils Self-Made Online Platform

Summary

The Directorate General of Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance seeks to bring together logistics service business with consumers by developing an application called the National Logistic Ecosystem (NLE). The digital platform also integrates the necessary customs services.

Head of Communications and Publications Sub-directorate of Customs and Excise Deni Sujantoro said the NLE is built under the Customs Excise Information System and Automation (CEISA) 4.0 system framework. CEISA has a logistic industry "community" database consisting of importers/exporters, as well as goods owners as consumers of logistics service providers such as trucking, warehousing, shipping, and freight forwarding agents.

"With the Collaboration Application Programming Interface concept, domestic and global businesses could join to share information," Dani said as quoted by Bisnis Indonesia.
